Very nice indeed!! Enjoy!!
I thought it would be a lot more. I saw an HK upper in EE for $11,000
Not that you need it, LOL but here's a pic to keep ya motivated & your wallet "thin" LOL. Cheers
Yah, GermanGunWorks is a pretty interesting site. He ships to Canada, U.S., Australia and a few others (some things at least, some stuff is export restricted/EU only... just like all gun parts websites everywhere in the world, including Canada... we all have the same stuff and disallow the direct-to-consumer sale of it to each other!). The prices drop by 19% when shipping out of the EU as well. That is a good thing, since... some of the prices are pretty astronomical. The full G28 scope set up (slightly different S&B 3-20x50, Aimpoint Micro T-1, ERA-TAC mount, killflash and scope caps) is EURO 5,094.95, that is CAN$7,512.46, minus 19% is $6,085.09.
He has some other stuff that looks cool though. I might order some stuff at some point. I have the tan foregrip and 3-piece rail set on order with Tactical Imports still.
His G28 build he shows there is pretty interesting. The actual G28 has a steel upper receiver, not aluminum like the MR308 (and just about every AR rifle ever built). Why the army would want that, I have no idea. It is completely backwards of the whole point of Eugene Stoner's design and the idea of a barrel extension. However, I guess they got burned really bad by plastic receiver parts with shifting zero over there, so they are back to over engineering the hell out of everything in the traditional German way.
My understanding is that the G28 (steel) upper receivers are not available to the public. I think he may have just painted an MR308 receiver to that "baby puke" yellow to get it to look like a G28 receiver - or it is a dealer sample type thing. A G28 receiver (like a G22 receiver vis-a-vis an AWM receiver) will be marked "G28" right on it.
He has that long FAL-style flash hider on his website, but it is export restricted (as are all flash hiders on his website). A company in the U.S. makes a reproduction on that flash hider, for U.S. people building G28-style rifles down there (and they have a much longer road than Canadians do). I am probably going to stick with the flash hider that was factory installed on my rifle. I like the look of both though.
The rifle in your photo is just showing the top piece in the 3-piece rail cover set. I have this on order, as well as the foregrip.
GermanGunWorks has the G28 sling, and the extra mag pouch, available. A guy would probably have to order that from Europe to get it. The sling is EURO 144.95. The mag pouch is 56.90. So EURO 201.85, CAN$297.64, minus 19% =$241.09
Probably, overall, I want to just go with a "G28 style" rifle, but with a dark receiver, black scope and mount, and just a few other hints of the G28 design. I'm almost there!
Some more pictures. I found a different pic to bi-pod adapter, which is longer and seems to work better for this set-up.

I shot 40 rounds, sighting in the rifle and getting a feel for it. I then shot 5 Gold Medal 168gr. at the end of the day. I'm still getting used to this trigger. Clearly I'm am pulling some shots down. The first three shots were the three that are together, and then I buggered it up a bit. Still. This is 45 rounds on the first day. This is getting it sighted in and then some.

What is the AI rifle you have there?
I could have sworn someone else made a whole pivot piece with picatinny adapter that you can buy seperate but I can't find it.
