10/22 receiver with an AR style charging handle

im going to make an assumption and say that the charging handle is non-reciprocating

It better not move with the bolt when it cycles. Otherwise why bother to put something like that on in the first place. Now of the side of the receiver were a bit thicker you could marry it with a nordic chassis bottom, and hope that the charging handle clears the extension tube adapter.

But I like the look of it just the same ... I think I want one now ... :D :p

From Tactical Innovations website

"The charging handle does not reciprocate with the bolt each time the rifle is fired and it is secured firmly in the closed position using a spring loaded ball detent. "

With a little tinkering you could make the charging handle actually charge the round yet not reciprocate when the gun is fired.

Just create a soft or button/lever that you press to engage a hook onto the 10/22 charging handle and then draw the entire thing back to load the first round. Then releasing the button/lever would disengage the hook from the 10/22 charging handle when firing....

or the AR charging handle :D

**apologies for the cuss

i still dont get it haha .. draw me a picture

Well you know how a 10/22 Charging handle sticks out to the side right? Now think of a hook that would grab onto the 10/22 charging handle. Got that part?

That hook is connected to the M4 Charging handle from the body kit.

When you pull back the M4 charging handle it in turn would pull back on the hook that hooks onto the 10/22 Charging handle and chambers the first round.

Understand now?

From the looks of the pictures, that's what it does already. The charging handle must be attached to the bolt to pull it back. But when discharging the firearm, it stays in place unless you grab it and pull on it. Like when you want to clear the chamber. The website photos show that there is no charging handle coming out of the side of the 10/22.

Or I could be wrong.

The ar15 type charging handle at the back of the receiver does charge the rifle.
The ejection port on the side is smaller, because no bolt handle is needed anymore.

i feared that was what you were talking about..

which is completely pointless

but both of our post counts are now better off for it

And why are they pointless? Because it already does that and I didn't realize it? :D

And who cares about post count? Greentips could reset mine and it's not going to bother me any....
