Tactical Innovations TI25 composite 10 22 mags

Haha yeah, I'm pretty sure I can do without a red magazine sticking out of my all black rifle, that and it doesn't particularly blend in well with its surroundings.

I will throw my hat in for the TI mags.

My Butler Creek mag's steel lips protrude too far into the breech of my 10/22 takedown and the bolt catches on the lips. Shoddy workmanship for sure.

I've had the same problems with all the ones I've owned, the only way I found I could remedy the problem was to take a file to it enough so that the bolt could cycle without catching on it.

+1 I find it interesting that I have the exact same experience with the Butler Creek steel lips. They're 100% reliable in my Target 10/22, but I can't get through 5 rounds without a FTF in my new SR-22. WTF?

I have a few butler creek steel lips, they all work almost flawlessly on my 10/22 and my sr-22. I wish someone made a 50 round drum that was reliable. I haven't found any that work for me

I had two ButlerCreek steel-lips. One was horrible...constant misfeeds. The other was OK, with less frequent misfeeds if I sprayed synth-lube in it. I ditched them and went w/ a tri-mag + factory mags for my SR22. I very rarely have any probs now...maybe once every couple of hundred rounds of CCI stingers/velocitors/mini-mags.

I have two tri-mag sets, and they work exceptionally well. I am not going to do any mods on my Butler Creek mag...I will just sell it and chalk it up to a learning experience.

Ive got 3 butler creek steel lips I use in my 10/22 nomad and they work perfect. Nearly 1000 rounds through them without a single problem. The Promags on the other hand wont feed more than 2-3 rounds without jamming. For $30 I like the steel lips just fine. But I guess since all guns seem to be just slightly different, they will all respond differently to different mags as well right.

Yea, my steel lipped Butler Creek mags work fine too, no complaints and at $30, good value. Hated the BC mag loader, didn't work for me.

Upgrading to TI 25's as money allows, since they fit much better and can be disassembled, which is why I'll pay the extra cost, since I shoot a lot of .22lr in my 10/22's, more than any other ammo.

I have had the TI alluminum and TI composite for years now. I actually recommend the composite. Why? price is a bit better and performance is better than than the bulkier alluminum. either one are very good, maybe people get alluminum for tacticool look im thinking.

Hi, looking at using these mags for the first time. How do the composite mags perform better? Thanx.

Why would this magazine be prohibited in Canada? It's only a 25 round magazine. And why would it need to be pinned at 10 rounds? It's a rim fire magazine. I'm confused.

It is marked by Ruger for use in the Ruger Charger .22 Pistol, meaning it is a pistol magazine. Meaning it must be pinned to 10 rounds (since it is a pistol magazine) or it is a prohibited device.

Because it's advertised as fitting the Ruger Charger pistol.
So as far as the RCMP is concerned, it's a pistol magazine, and must be pinned to 10rds to be legal here.

Cut him some slack, it's my job to read this forum ;)

I haven't seen any pinned magazines. Likely people don't think they're worth exporting/importing with the regular ruger magazines being 10rds.
