is that the utg quad rail? looks good how solid is it? I hate the looks of my tapco hand guard. that covers it up nicely

Yes it is, very solid.

Be warned however that a railed upper hand guard will not fit with UTG Quad Rail, the rail either has to be shaved down, or do what I did (and what I prefer) is to "free float" the gas tube with no hand guard.
 
awesome I think ill order one then. I want it for looks im not going to mount anything on it save some rail covers. I was going to go the vented hand guard route but that rail will compliment my magwedge rail, provided it doesnt interfere with the pivoting of it but I can mod it to work. AWESOME thanx.
 
just ordered one from hi cal. looks like I may be the first to pair this up with the magedge kwikrail. should be interesting.
 
Here is a Chinese one we put an ATI strike force on and really wanted to keep the bayonet and the bottom rail. So after debating a mod Bubba himself would be proud of we cut down the bayonet. Here is the chopped picture. We will be sharpening it up soon. We like it thats what counts Flame away if you must lol.

 
Hi cal used to have them. Seen them on the forum lots cant remember what vendor tho.
 
I'd love to see an rpk clone build. Forward world, metal frame for the receiver to sit in, and a wood ak butt stock. I'm not much for the plastic stocks, but a stock that I could row the unmodified rifle in would be cool. Something looking like a type 81.

Got my utg rail from hi cal today and im friggin stoked! My sks is impersonating an AR now so I thought id toss some ar sights on it! The utg quadrail compliments the magwedge kwikrail perfectly and doesnt interfere at all with magwedge pivot.
