Hi All,
I'm slightly new to this and really like the tactical platforms that are non-restricted on 22lr and have large mags of 20+ are reliable and easy to clean. I was wondering if I could get your input about affordable options. I am looking at affordability of the firearm and mags. So far the list is (are there other candidates?):

- CZ 512, expensive rifle and mags
- HK G36, expensive rifle (with M4 mags)
- Mossberg Blaze (looks like a PITA to disassemble)
- Mosseberg 702
- GSG 15 (looks like a PITA to clean)
- STG 44
- PPS 50
- Marlin 795 with 25 or 70 round mag (not tactical though)
- ARX-160*** (with M4 mags)
- ISSC MK22***

Please add the the list.

***were added by others...Thank you

Cheers,

You do realize all semi auto centerfire long arms require limiting to 5rds, and all pistols to 10rds, right?

And the blaze was prohibited.

The only normal capacity mags are in 22lr chambered long arms.

Edit: I see now we are in the rimfire forum. I found this post through searching "new posts" and got thrown off by the "G36 is expensive" comment thinking you meant real G36 which are like $8-12k each and only a handful of each style in the country.

Technically the HK G36 (Walther .22 version) does not meet your requirements as the mags must be pinned to 10 rounds. If you are willing to accept that, then the Beretta ARX-160 (.22 version) is also NR and could be added to you list. They both accept Walther Colt M4 .22 mags that are not required to be pinned.

Remington 597. Aftermarket 25 rnd magazines readily available for reasonable cost. Cheap semi, shoots straight but not tactical!

Looks like it's between the GSG 15-22 and the ISSC MK22...Decisions-decisions... Since I can get the GSG for 450CND$ taxes in. I might go for that unless I get convinced otherwise?
Is the ISSC better?

Man, my tinfoil hat is tight today. New member from Quebec wanting to know all the high capacity 20+ round .22LR rifles that are available and legal still. cou:

I'll shut up now lol.

PS, the CZ 512 Tactical is a great rifle, comes apart easily, is quite accurate and the mags run about $45.00. The CZ is the highest quality out of the rifles you posted so far IMO.

Keep in mind the visible barrel portion on the GSG 15-22 and GSG STG 44-22 are faux, below is a pic of a barrel out of the GSG STG 22. Very cheap design and materials used. I was actually surprised by the poor quality on a rifle made in Germany. There was talk on here that GSG products carry a lifetime warranty in Canada, be sure it says it in the manual as this one stated only a 2 year warranty.

Note the two thin cast aluminum tabs for the feed ramp. Check out those beefy chamber walls.

Heavy duty extractor...

Some poor materials used in the trigger group...

Man that looks like umarex steel force air gun pos. Out of 3 that me and friends own, they stop working on about 3 to 4 months of and about 5000 rounds. I took it apart and managed to shim the trigger but now dud

The GSG 15-22 and ISSC MK22 share that type of fake barrel like the GSG STG 22. I wouldn't expect a long life out of them after seeing the pizz poor metals that are used.

The OP did say cheap. There are better built .22lr tacticool rifles, but they cost more. That said, my MK22 has over 2000 rds through it, and still flawless. That may change in time.

We did a photo comparison between the GSG 15 (mine) and the ISSC, and eveything was exactly the same, except the stock..

So if you're leaning towards one or the other, they're the same...

I fired my GSG15 and the only issue i've encountered is that one of the mags I bought at Cabelas started to missfeed rounds.. Will bring it back. The FDE mag that came with my GSG does not have this issue.

We zeroed our 22s and I was able to hit a spent 12g shell @ approx 75 yards standing with a red dot.
