I am sure everyone has seen a Glock here, but I thought i'd show my brand new Glock 17 off, I guess I didn't mention that I am also a photographer!
If you're interested in photography, or would like to see some cool pictures, I am a photographer based in Regina, Sask. Link to my page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Andre...ages/Andrew-Novak-Photography/207880995902533

You guys make me sick with your awesome photos! :D

Ok guys I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO DERAIL... BUT

Please enlighten us not so photo savy folks on the basics under 1000 investment needed to take "GOOD PHOTOS" as yours both are!

I am thinking obviously lighting is one thing, portable, roof lights, what?
Camera got that part, but honestly need another. I don't need or want a novel but in one post reply since such good photos here can you give some advice to others? I have some wicked spots to take photos, I have BRIGHT white and alternate backgrounds as well, but I am missing a decent camera and need to have the blanks filled in here! Thx

Here's mine

Not much attention paid to the quality of the shot but it does smell "Tactical"

Better pictures start between your ears and take a bit of planning. Light is critical and some guns are hard to photograph because they are prone to "hot spots" as are many shiny items. On camera flash is horrible! I use bounce and diffused flash and reflectors made from white foam board. Much of the time, I wait for good outdoor natural light and take the shot at a good time of day to get pleasant shadow. Many of my pictures of difficult items are taken in front of a window and backed by foam board reflectors that cost very little to make.

I shoot with high end cameras but equipment is less important than technique and it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

mebiuspower FTW!!

all kidding aside, the secret to great shots is usuallly as simple as a light box (you can make one for $20 from thin pvc piping, a white sheet and a few bright white lamps properly placed) :)

of course knowing how to operate a camera in manual or aperture priority or shutter priority mode(s) helps, that can be googled as well.

the secret:
