I am planning on buying a tactical rimfire and i have been looking on the internet reading and watching videos for the selected choices and wanted to ask some questions.
My choices have been narrowed down to the:
-> Ruger SR-22
-> S&W M&P 15-22 <(*more this though)
When i was watching videos on youtube. I saw pretty much all negative comments about the Ruger SR-22 and the 597 VTR having many problems, mostly with either the extractor or the ejector. Now the videos i have been watching were in 2009, so has Ruger done anything about these issues in newer models now?
Also, the same question goes for the Smith & Wessen, have they fixed the issues in their newer models as well. So far, my fingers are pointing towards this gun the most, but the SR-22 keeps bringing me back because of the wonderful "Non-Restricted" label. I would like to decide sooner or later
If you guys could help me out with my questions, or point me towards a good solution that would be excellent. I want to train with a .22LR AR platform to get used to it until i can afford a .223 AR.
Thanks
