Tactical Rimfires

Who asked about the classification? You need to sit your ass down before you get over your head with going ape s**t without reading/understanding a question. So chill out :dancingbanana:

Withn the context of your original post only (4) posts beforehand, how could it be considered otherwise?

Sr 22?

gsg5 added thanks.

I'm not going apes**t. I'm just disgusted by all the opinions based on speculation that are being quoted as fact, as per your original post. YOU are incorrect. The Umerex Colt and the S&W rifle ARE NOT "restricted". There is no classification. This is well documented through the countless threads on this site concerning this matter. Obviously, you haven't picked up on this yet.

This thread is spreading disinformation and adding to the confusion. Please, for the sake of the CGN Community, edit your original post. I see you've edited it to read "asumed restricted". Do you know what they say when you are incorrect when you assume something don't you? You make an "ass" out of "u" and "me".

Just searched Questar site for any info on the status of the 522lr...came up empty handed.

J -Man or Questar rep...could I get a little help with links/directions to pricing/ordering or up to date infos on 522lr thru Questar?

perhaps there is a thread on Nutz that search is not turning up?

My shootin' buddies mock me for my .22lr AR15, but I think it's cute...
Restricted, but I don't shoot anywhere other than a range so it's satus doesn't matter
Fun to shoot, but like I said.... If your shootin' buddies are insensative pricks like mine they'll make fun of you...

Armalite lower, DPMS LPK, Tactical Solutions M4 upper, Millet DMS-1 1-4, AMD 30mm QD scope mount, BDM 26rnd mags.
Runs like a watch... A finely tuned bullet spittin' watch:D

That may sound as a strange question to you but...what do you do with this type of rifles ? They are useless for any form of competition, you can't hunt with them, they're probably not very accurate....I'm serious, what are they good for ?

Well... Mine is pretty much an exact copy of my "real AR15" so if I wanted to save center fire ammo I could use it as a substitute for practice.
My Tac Sol is as accurate as any 10/22... perhaps more so.

As far as competition, well...

I've entertained the idea of hosting a rimfire "tac match" for all the dimwits I know who have sunk hundreds if not thousands of dollars into their .223/5.56 AR(s), but whine about not being able to shoot too much because of ammo cost... But like I said in a previous post.... My shooting Pals are mean.
I get teased and laughed at to the point where I just about pee my pants.

"Tac match with .22's...? That's f**kin' ghey!"

I also attend 3-gun matches in the US where pistol cal carbines are used. I "suppose" I could argue that .22lr "is" a pistol round... Couldn't I? :D

250-25X,

There's plenty of things you could do with these "things"...

- Fighting off mini-zombies
- Scaring off tin-cans
- Freaking out a Liberal

Or, on a more serious note, they make for a good training aid for guys wanting to shoot Service Rifle

And even thought they are as accurate as a bench rifle... some of them can still print 1/2"-3/4" group at 50 yards... (with a good shooter and good ammo ;) of course)

Wanna try?

You need to expand your horizons. A lot. Think of all the things you've never done (nor see the need to do) with a rimfire, and that's what "this type" of rifle is good for.

Seriously.

if I wanted one-I'd stick to the Ruger strictly based on the magazine-rotary is proven to feed FAR better than box mags with the .22 lr
