Tactical Scopes: Field Test Results Summary & Overall Scores

and how many shooters are sponsored so they're using it because it's good and free compared to spending their own money and getting what they actually want...?

well, it think this summary gives good input if one was to get a new scope. I own the USO 5-25x58 and I would not give it up for any other scopes even though it finished in 5th place. To my needs this is the best scope there is. At some point glass quality becomes pointless.

I think one of the main reasons it wouldn't be in that article is because he documenting what scopes shooters are using in the PRS rifle series. Not a lot of scopes without a ZeroStop in use for practical shooting comps as its easy to get lost in your turrets in stressful situations.

That and also the fact that those matches are extremely hard on scopes. When they adjust the turrets, they crank on them hard and quickly. People also drop their rifles climbing up things and smack them on the sides of barriers, trees, rocks and other structures while trying to navigate the course of fire quickly. Cars are probably the worst for it. Some stages have you getting in and out of old cars and firing from them. Scopes get smacked a lot getting in and out of them, especially if the shooter is big. There are always several of the high-end scopes going down in those matches. If the high-end scopes are getting broken, imagine what would happen to many of the cheaper scopes?

When you're talking about the top 5 scopes... you're basically splitting hair and talking purely personal preference at that point.
