If your budget is 1500-2000$ I would get something more like an 870 police and kit it out the way you want. Express models are generally more budget friendly. Also, if you want to be super tacticool, there is always the KSG or UTAS shotguns.

i cant stand shotguns with pistol grips, sorry but thats a pet peeve of mine, completely useless!
Stay away from express models!
Just get a Remington 870 marine magnum stainless, it'll last you your lifetime and more!
comes with a sling so thats your tactical bit!
btw im probably buying one for my xmas present or a nice revolver.

From what I understand semi-auto shotguns are fussy eaters when it comes to ammo. Use cheap stuff and you'll have constant malfunctions.

for quick acquisition nothing beats a nice bead front sight, and go practice shooting skeet and trap with it. don't get these fancy red dots or ghost ring sights, stick with what has worked for decades, those skeets go by pretty damn fast, if you're good at hitting those with your 870 shottie you're good for whatever comes your way.
