Hey guys whos using these and how are you liking them? I have always been a Dlask fanboy(still am) and have many of there barrels in all the different lengths on my builds. The particular barrel Im curious about is the 16" Tac Sol alluminum, fluted barrel. Any info? Cheers.

i have one i am using with a red dot and i sure like it
i think ruger says their 10/22s are 5lbs this one is 4.1lbs
sure is light compared to a dlask :D
you could carry it all day and hardly notice

plenty accurate on this rig for plinking and no trouble feeding
but i imagine it wouldnt take much to warm them up

I agree with both posts above. Super lightweight and great accuracy. Where to find one...I don't know. I got mine from rimfiresports.com back when they were allowed to ship barrels north.

Well lucky me I just got one already attached to an sr22 I grabbed off the Ee. Wow what a difference in a good way from my old sr with the dlask barrel. This thing is a whole different rifle weight wise. As long as I get the accuracy and repeatability I do with my Dlasks this thing is a keeper.

So I took this little beauty SR22 with the Tac Sol barrel out last night to my favorite little spot in the bush near where I live. I have my l spot marked out for yardages and I only had an hour and some Magpul MBUS mounted so I was just plinking at 100 or so. This thing is every bit as accurate as my Dlask barrels at that range, only ran about 150 rounds thru it but fairly quicly and it seemed to handle the heat very well. The overal weight comparison to my old SR with Dlask bull barrel is night and day, not taking away from the Dlask as I love them but as many of you know especially on the SR once you add the BB and some other front accessories that are so common place on a SR they get very front heavy, not so with the Tac Sol.

Got mine from Brownells... Should be here next week.. I tried 2 different Dlask barrels and wasn't impressed.... Hopefully this one does... and only 176$ at Brownells... I would of got it from wanstsall but I didn't want a threaded barrel...

On a side note TS says to use CCi mini-mags

yeah the one I have is non threaded aswell. I think you will be happy with it. I have a bunch of Dlask builds that I am happy with, sold my old SR because of the front heavy feel but always missed it as a little irons only 100 meter plinker. This thing popped up on the EE complete with Magpul CTR, MBUS, MOE Grip, Tac Sol barrel, extractor/spring and full top rail kit, oh and 2 Black Dog Machine 25 round mags plus the factory parts

speaking of wanstalls tac sol barrels, anyone have any idea what canadian law they are talking about that doesnt let them be threaded? i cant think of one

I think it was actually something to do with US export laws, and if I remember correctly from last time I was in Wanstalls that may no longer be the case?

pretty sure snootworks is correct, dont remember where but i heard US will not allow the exportation of them in threaded form... only makes sense since Dlask barrels come threaded and other factory rifles available in canada are allowed threading.

Did you need to fill out paperwork to order the barrel from them?

Anyone who owns these babies got info on how to clean? Being aluminum is it ok to run a boresnake through them? I'm assuming the inside of the barrel is harder or chrome lined or something??
