Tactical Solutions X-Ring Problem

Hey guys,

I recently bought a TacSol X-Ring rifle from Wanstalls and am having an issue that i think has been fairly well documented on-line. The gun will not reset the trigger once it fires. It cycles enough to chamber the next round from the magazine but it will not reset the trigger. After searching it seems others have had this issue but i havent been able to find a documented solution to this issue.

I contacted Tactical Solutions last night and Colt pretty much told me that they dont make those triggers anymore and that since im in Canada, contact the retailer. I sent Wanstalls a message this morning and am waiting on a reply to see what they have to say, but in the mean time i was putting my feelers out about any known solutions to this issue.

I put volquartsen guts in my trigger, and I was seeing the exact same issue you are having. Turns out that I just needed to go back to the stock spring that is between the trigger and trigger guard, it is a bit stiffer and works better. Sure enough, after that change back, it worked great.
Can't say that's tour problem with you situation since it's a different brand, but maybe give it a try if you can find a stock spring somewhere.
 
So I spoke with Ryan at Wanstalls today, he said it’s a fairly common issue and they’re going to swap out the trigger. I can’t get to Wanstalls until mid February-ish but I’ll update this once I do.
 
UPDATE - dropped the gun off at Wanstalls last Thursday, they’re going to put a Ruger BX trigger in it as a replacement. I’ll update once again when I get the rifle back and can see how it functions.
