Looking to replace the existing factory stock on my Remington 700P LTR 20" heavy barrel.

I've looked at JP Enterprises and like the JP Advanced Modular Chassis System, but have recently discovered the Remington Accessory Chassis System.

I'm able to get a hold of the JP but my fear is that Remington's model is exclusive for LE/Military only.

Does anyone have other idea's on stocks similiar to these so I can complete my build.

Just as an FYI - Was able to find a Leupold dealer with great prices. Ordered a Leupold Mark 4 ER/T 6.5-20x50mm w/ M5 dials & H58 hors reticle. $2600 plus tax from Perkin's in Pembroke, ON. Outstanding price seeing how I was previously quoted by mulitple Leupold dealers $3000-3700.

If your interested in the Remington Arms Chassis System ( RACS ) that is not for sale yet however CADEX Defense here in Canada makes pretty much the exact same Chassis called the Strike series, they have one for the remington short action and long action and even for the 50 as seen on the PGWDTI 50 caliber rifle.

Cost of this Chassis is $2500. Other less expensive choices on here with the modular style forend and pistol grip are the AICS AX Chassis the MDT tac 21 ( as mentioned before ) The XLR Chassis ( also mentioned before ) and the TAC MOD Sniper chassis system.

Found it on One Shot Tactical... thanks!

$2300 isn't an easy price tag to swallow so I need to visualize this before I decide to purchase it.... I was doing some quick measurements and with the length of the Striker 30 Chassis system & there would be approx 4" of barrel protruding from the forearm.

Because I have a 20" heavy barrel... do you think this chassis system will look silly with that little of barrel exposed? A muzzle break should add approx 1".... so 5" in total... but still.

Thanks!.... I've listed what I'm interested in and costs.... looking for some feed back.

if your a AR shooter don't over look the MDT Tac 21 and our dealers have them in stock

I have used the XLR and it like the Tac 21 are very well built with no flex

dont think the Cadex is "out" yet

Jp might be hard to get I have never held or shot one

I was talking with the gunsmith that i deal with, he told me he had a customer with one of the chassis that clamp down on the action (ie XLR) and he told me every time he unbolted and re-torqued the clamp, the POI changed. Just something to think about if you plan to get your chassis dirty and unbolt to clean it.

that will happen with any stock

I wouldnt pay that much for a chassis but its just me, im not that rich I guess.

Coolest ever is AICS though, green. Wish I had this ;)

I do like the the XLR... but I'm not sold on the Tac21. I don't know what it is but it's not atheistically pleasing.

Was able to find that One Shot Tactical & MD Charelton both carry the Cadex Defence Strike 30 Chassis... I'll have to give you an update as to how long it will take to get one.

And you've got it right when you said JP is hard to get.... If you look at their main website it says the won't ship internationally and to contact their distributor for sales. Brownells & Int Midway USA both sell the JP AMCS but it ships directly from the factory... bringing us full circle....the factory won't mail it internationally. Go figure.

I found a company out of Quebec... The Montreal Firearms Recreational Center... www.crafm.com... that deals with JP Enterprises and is able to get not only the JP Chassis... but JP rifles.

I think that's why I'm leaning towards a folding stock... very easy to remove the bolt & without loosening or re-torquing involved.
