Tactical Turkey shotgun ???

Just what the hell is a tactical turkey shotgun? I actually saw this in a catalog today. I also found Marstar's TOMAHAWK 1201XP-C (Tactical Semi-Auto Special) is in camo.Why would I want a short barrelled shotgun in camo, and why call it tactical? Tactical turkey sounds like I might have to defend myself from possible turkey intruders in my home. I can picture it now, my wife wakes me in the middle of the night, "Honey I think there's someone downstairs. It sounds like a turkey."

Tactical Turkey doesn't describe what the gun is used FOR but who the gun is used BY. ;)

Because when turkey hunting you sit on the ground in full camo so you will not be seen. The short barrel is more manuverable and usually shots are at closer range at a slow moving target. tactical is stuck on for the cool factor mostly, but may be a poor attempt to describe the short and compact design. (Still mostly for the cool factor.)

That being said, I want royalties for comming up with the turkey tactical. I started a thread a while back about turning an 870 super mag turkey into a tactical. :D

Short barrel, 12" LOP stock and mag extension it's tactical. Put a turkey choke back in and remove the mag extension and its back to turkey. see:

That's kind of the point here. Why call a turkey gun a tactical? Seems silly to me. If companies are after a cool name, why not use the "Turkey Stalker" or the "Turkey Ambush". Saying "Turkey Tactical" is like saying "Turkey Police Edition".

Aren't these just hunting shotguns?
 
The defination of "tactical" was best said by P.T. Barnum. There's a sucker born every minute. :)

LOL, you are correct. I did take my first "tom" with a SxS but it wasn't tactical nor classic. It was hard to believe that a Turkey could be killed by a 2 3/4" load out of an old sxs without a "door breacher" choke.
