It saddens me when I see folks who are actually in the know, saying you can't store restricted guns in them. I went to the US site. If you get the one with the Mirrored front, that has a lock that locks when you close the mirrored door (that has a solid backing behind the mirror) (they have them for long guns, handgun and a combination one) and the lock gets unlocked when you use your magnet key, you can certainly store your restricted guns and ammo in there. Some would treat it like a safe and not use trigger locks, some would treat it like a cabinet and use trigger locks. Totally up to you what you decide. I would like to get a couple of the mirrored ones with the long gun part on the bottom and the pistol part on top. Full length mirror and glides, magnetic lock is on the top (must I suspect that is user set able for left or right opening). Will you be getting these full kits in? Me? I will be storing a trigger locked handgun or two in the top with loaded magazines at hand, and a couple shotguns with ammo in the bottom portion, all locked in place with the magnet activated locking system, and I will feel in full legal compliance. If folks out there don't feel the same as I do, keep your opinions to yourself because I don't care what others think. Folks that don't think these are O.K. are also likely of the opinion that gun ownership in Canada is not a right (they are wrong). Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one and they usually stink.
Farmboy, please let me know if you are getting the full kits, I will get a couple and I will take some pictures of them legally installed with my legally stored restricted and non restricted guns. Perhaps that will shut that troll up who was threatening to report you to the CFO. Since he was so quick to quote the rules, is it not against the rules to threaten or badger a member? Just sayin...
