Satain where did you get that folding stock and barrel shroud for your Remmy VTR, and what did they cost? Thanks, they look kool.
The barrel shroud is from a paintball store on 1st & boundry and there is like a muzzle brake underneath that it attaches too and the extended handgaurd cover is from yankiee hill. As far as the folding stock, there is a mount braket from ACE Stocks in the states & the stock part is a modify airosoft stock that I got out in mission just on the other side of the abby/mission bridge. I never knew that the fake stuff could look so real. So far over 2,000 rounds threw it and no problems and still can make happy face's @ 25 meter's. Can't wait for the 25 rounder's made by shooting edge that Mysticplayer special ordered for me to complete the MP5 look. I will post back after next weekend on how these mags work out.

That is a very nice looking gun but if its restricted then whats the use of having it in a 22 ? I would rather buy the real thing ... but if they make it non restricted I will buy one tomorrow.

Do a search for American 180 .22 smg. That's a tactical .22. There are some in canada.

It's prohibited by name.

# The firearm of the design commonly known as the American 180 Auto Carbine, and any variant or modified version of it, including the AM-180 Auto Carbine and the Illinois Arms Company Model 180 Auto Carbine.

Tac 22lr

I have made several "tactical" 22lr out of 1022 variants.

The cheapest route is a used plain 1022 and a Choate or BC folder stock.
Mount a weaver rail below the forestock and you can use a vertical handle.
This and a 25rd mag makes a decent practical/tactical 22lr.

If you want a more serious tactical approach get out yer wallet and the sky's the limit although sadly you often run into restriced territory which IMO is ridiculous with a 22lr long gun!

I recently saw a new Ruger 1022 tactical gun?
Anyone know of the details or availability in Canada?

its an AR, restricted.

whats the use? I can go to the range and shoot 250 rounds for 10 bucks.... which is more than i shoot at any range session.

i dont know how much 250 rounds of .223 is....

There's a nice AR upper out there that looks like a shorty with a can attached, given the difference in sound levels between a 22 and 223, it could be loads of fun with Fud at the range, especially when you add in the 20+ round mag.

I've thought about doing belt-fed, and that's a "future" option I think. I have plans, materials, photos, etc in hand for this, but with other projects on the slate first, that's a "I'll get to it" plan.

For now, I have a plan, and as you can see, it's in progress ;-)
