Tacticool stock for the ruger mini 14?

I'd sell it and buy a better rifle.
I had one and it was 100% reliable (with good mags) but the accuracy was horrible. It was an older ranch model with 1:7 twist barrel, a folding synthetic stock, pin on flash hider, and I had a bunch of 5/30 mags. It looked cool but that's it.
For the cost of a Mini14 you can buy much better rifles. The mini14 needs an adjustable gas system, mine felt like it was beating itself to death and flung brass 20 feet to the right. Even with a recoil buffer installed it was still violent.
I replaced mine with an AR180B and was much happier with it.

my $0.02
Good luck

The new models have much better accuracy. The older ones had a pretty flimsy barrel which has been upgraded to a thicker, tapered barrel. They still launch the brass though. My mini 30 can throw them about 30 feet. Yes an adjustable gas block would help. Look into the Promag Sparta stock, or if you have the money get a Sage stock. The Sage is about $800 I belive.
