As some of you might remember, I've been asking questions about stocks for the SKS for a little while now. Well I got my tapco intrafuse stock a few weeks ago and have been adding a bits here and there since changing the stock. I don't really intend to shoot it with all the crap on it, but thought I might as well build a ghetto tactical rifle for fun:)

Now shes turned into a nice little fudd agitating baby eater :D

I think the "MLITARY" might be upset with me

And the Green Reticule, which I think is first thing on the list of "how to spot a fake" on EO Tech's website :D

lol eofake! and ya, where's the tapco mag?? that would finish it off very nice!

still looks great though, i'd like to do the same with mine... and get one of those eofakes :)

Yeah, I still need to track down a tapco mag for it, I only wish our gun laws allowed the full 20 rounds, that'd be cool :D I should wait till I've got a bit more spending cash to get one though..already put enough into the ol' SKS without getting a chance to fire it with the new stock and sight yet.

about the "eofake", can we post affiliate links on CGN? I'd like to be able to get something back from that damn website... I order lots of crap from it and in addition have sent people to them online and in person.

I know I'd probably get a decent pay out (err sort of payout, their affiliate link stuff is store credit of course ) from CGNers pouncing on the eofakes lol.

I guess as a back up I could put a link to my blog on here and put the affiliate link on there rather than on CGN (if they're not allowed on cgn).

Lol, Im 50/50 on this rifle build. Im not against Tapco, as I have an Intrafuse on my 10/22... But this one looks a little heavy. The fact that you said you wouldn't shoot with all the gear on, makes me wonder why you bought it all?

To each there own, for sure. I prefer the Intrafuse stock more or less bare. The only thing I would consider for an SKS would be a bipod or something to help out at the range.

What did all the bells and whistles cost you? (Vertical grip, light w/ rings, fake eotech etc?

:)

I am interested too were you bought that eofake. You can always say the name or the website without hotlink.

Not interested in discussions about mag capacity, it is against the CGN rules anyway, so don't do it unless you want to get infractions.

Saying it would be cool to have 20 rounds is an infraction? How does that work?

I'm not trying to discuss it, I simply stated I believe it would be cool if we were allowed to have more and also would probably make paying 50 or 60 dollars for a plastic mag worth while.

Besides, wouldn't being restricted from talking about current gun laws kinda defeat part of the purpose of CGN?

Well the SKS is already a heavy gun, the stuff I've put on it looks a lot more heavy than it actually is. Its not actually that bad, and feels nice and stable when you support the rifle with your weak hand on the mag.

The flashlight and mount where about $14 (the tail cap I had laying around from an old flash light that came with one I also bought the light that is mounted as a spare (I carry one around with me), they use 9volt xenon lights, so they're really bright but eventually the bulbs will burn out, unfortunately I decided to grab another flashlight for $10 bucks before realizing they had replacement bulbs for $3 durrr)

The laser was I think $35, but I've always wanted one, its one of those redundantly powerful green lasers. So it was a gun nutz excuse I guess, until now I've never had a rifle with rails.

The fake eotech was I think $37, but its a nicely done fake:rolleyes: lol.

I feel completely stupid for the fore grip...cost 30 bucks. That was a straight up waste. :dancingbanana:

And the point of not firing it with all the crap on, I should have said I'm going to see what is actually worth while keeping on the gun. The laser or the EOfake might be an absolute waste of time, they might not hold zero etc. So in that case they'll be coming off. As for the flashlight, I don't know why but mounted lights on guns always seemed cool to me, but I shoot during the day, so its pretty much useless to keep on for range trips.:)

And to Cyclone ha: yes, it can shoot laser beams, because that laser sight is eye-hurtingly bright

Links!

Anyway here are some links for you guys, copy and paste and remove the spaces. I looked into their affiliate program, its probably not worth while, and apparently they have a habit of ignoring cash in requests :(.

"eofake" :

Laser sight:

The mount it comes with is a piece of crap, it doesn't work. The laser also works with rechargeable 3.6v CR123A batteries too (link below) :D

ht tp://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13136

Flashlight:

The mount is sold somewhere else, just look under the gun mounts & accessories section.

Batteries:

If any of you want rechargeable CR123A batteries for the laser sight or flash lights, I'd recommend these ones, they've been working great for me for the past few months in my flash light. Just watch what you use them in, they come off the charger at around 4.2 volts...I blew a bulb for my Glock tac light out using these. So make sure what you're using them in can take the high voltage.

Just search for a charger, the one I got requires rewiring (or ghetto work around) to charge CR123As, I pulled a ghetto and took a couple dimes and wrapped them in electrical tape to create spacers for the contacts :D
They have chargers that don't require doing that....so grab one of those, unless you appreciate the hood tactical style lol.
