God, I can't believe I just typed that lol. Anyway, I've been trying to entice my teen nephew to get off the couch and try some shooting. Problem is, I have to compete with his video games. So, I got to thinking that since I have a Pardus pump 12g with 20" barrel( bought on a whim during a crazy sale at wss), maybe I could dress it up to draw his attention. The forend goes almost to end of mag tube so is there some kind of light mount to accomidate this type? It has a dovetail rail with no d&t, what are my best optic mount options? Was thinking red dot or some kind of prismatic sight. Thanks

Regardless of shotgun configuration, something is wrong with your nephew if he would rather play video games than take you up on an offer to go shooting!

And that's coming from someone who was an obsessive gamer as a teen.

I understand most Turkish made pumps take the same butt stock and was thinking of adding the pistol grip stock Corwin usually carries. Only so much coin I would invest in this before saying enough lol.

That pistol grip stock, in my opinion is useless. It required some fitting, and puts your trigger finger at an odd angle so it gets pinched, unless the shotgun you have has a larger trigger guard, your finger would be ok, but the trigger pull would increase from the angle.

Thanks, think I will just throw a picatinni /dovetail adaptor and red dot on it and call it good.

Just so you're aware, micro red dots aren't shockproof until they hit the $200 mark. Waterproof and shockproof after the $300 mark. Don't know what you were intending on buying but a $50 Firefield or a $100 Konus isn't going to cut it for a 12gauge shotgun. If you were thinking cheap but shock proof, a good start is to look at a Bushnell TRS-25. Bigger red dots like Sightmark or Holosun can be had with shockproof and waterproof at much lower costs than the micro red dots. The obvious disadvantage being you will be shooting it with a chin weld.

I was thinking vortex sparc 2 or something of that nature. The Trs 25 has also crossed my mind.

Thanks for link. I was looking at the UTG adaptor last night and seems like a far sturdier option but not really low profile. May order one up to try.
I ordered one of these a year or so back and it didn't fit my Turkish shotguns and was not very good quality.
A friend once put a Red dot on a Hatsan and the recoil bent and chewed up the aluminum dovetail pretty good.
