Tainted Ammunition in Syria

Some of the CBC 75 ammo that was causing problems in the States made it's way into Canada. Don't think it was intentionally spiked though.

I also got some surplus German 8mm that turned up more than a few rounds with no powder in them. They were kinda neat to get cause you can just picture the prisoner making the ammo flipping off the Germans behind their backs saying this one won't kill anyone. Certainly hope to never see spiked/explosive rounds turn up here.

Yup I've got about 150 rounds of this just for the novelty of it, Supposedly loaded with pistol powder and then over crimped when it should have been rifle powder, this caused huge amounts of pressure

It was made clear, repeated, and repeated again, while preparing for deployment to Bosnia, that 'found' ammo or firearms were ALWAYS considered to be suspect! Any ammo not from ones own supply system, too, for that matter.

If you didn't put it down, you don't pick it up! This also protected against booby traps/IED's.

Sympathy for the guys that get blown up by this stuff? Not much.
