take apart 2 piece stock

Has anyone heard of "take-apart" stocks for say a Guide Gun or Win 94? By that I mean having the wood butt stock seperate into 2 pieces in order to make the rifle 4 to 6 inches shorter to allow it to fit into a back pack.

All the leaver arms manuf. Win, Marlin, savage made take down
models ,they are not easy to find, but that would solve your
problem , Reminds me of a deluze 2 barrel marlin set at the calgary gun
show I never bought about 10 yrs ago ( I do stupid thing all the time)

Never seen one but I've thought about it...for a lever though if you take out the tang screw you can easily remove your butt stock.

there is a gunsmith in BC, that converts Marlins to takedowns, I think he is in Kamloops or Vernon?

It would be interesting to get some wingnuts made to use in the tang that could be worked by hand without having to use a screwdriver.
