I have read about people thinking taking down the Ruger .22 handguns can be challenging and I came across this link and thought maybe this could be helpful if you are having trouble

Here is a great site with videos. Shows some of the tricks regarding the hammer when reinstalling. Can be a PITA.

Mr. Bean's link is for the 10/22 rifle. Looks like the video right off the www.ruger.com website. You can find one for the handguns as well if you look there.

well.....i detail stripped my 22/45 mark iii for the first time......

if you are patient, it is definitely possible....

youtude has some good videos as well. I had no problem taking my Mark 1 apart but putting it back together
