Take them apart or use them.

Ummmm I don't know where you're getting your data, but according to hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center, the charge range for a 124 grain bullet using CFE Pistol is 4.9-5.5 grains.

So I figured I'd load a few rounds of 9mm. Thought I had Power Pistol when in fact I had CFE Pistol. I loaded about 200 rounds at 5.4 gr ( thinking it was Power Pistol) because I've loaded that load before and it was fine at 5.4g however looking at the Hodgdon web site the Max load of CFE Pistol for 124gr bullet is 5.1.....so given the fact that I'm 3gr over the Max should I tear them apart and adjust or is 3gr over max load ok this one time? So much for using my couple hours of free time wisely

I mean, just sayin...

I see what you mean and you are correct. I apologize...my own stupid mistake. I originally meant to say Campro but probably said Hodgdon because it was the name of the powder in front of me at the time. Remember when I said I was extremely tired ... The same reason for my mistake in the first place I guess. I use Campro bullets and so was using their data.

OP: I've shot some Campro 124 gr bullets in 9mm with 5.4 grains of CFE pistol. No, my anatomical parts did not fall off, but the milder CFE Pistol load seemed more accurate.

Either way, you're probably good. .3 grains is only 6% over 5.1. No reasonable quality pistol is within 6% of blowing up every time you run a load that was within acceptable data limits.

With a short enough OAL probably but I didn't try it with lead. I don't see where he said what bullet he is using. My point was saying it's fine based on velocity could give someone the wrong impression since that is not a good indication of pressure.

I agree that velocity is not an indicator of pressure. It depends on the powder and bullet.

Since he said it was a Campro and CFE, his load is OK based on my experience and less than what I consider max in my guns.

Well I fired about 50 rounds this morning and although it does have quit a bit of felt recoil it seems that accuracy seems to be ok and things didn't blow up in my hands.
