Takedown pin issue

Hi there,

Having bought and built a second upper, I've run into an issue.

The takedown pin will only move if the grip is removed, which makes it a bit of a pain in the rear when I want to change uppers at the range.

I'm using the takedown pin and pivot pin, as well as the takedown pin spring that were supplied with the receiver set. I've tried several detents from several LPK's.

Hoping you can give me some advice. Easy solution would be for me to buy a second lower - which I will do once they have the bolt catch added to the design - hoping you can help in the meantime.

You just need to shorten the spring a little bit.

The spring is too long. And it becomes over-compressed when you put the grip on.

Hey there,

We recommend taking off coils of the takedown spring in increments of 2. If its still stiff do another 2 or 1 based on your judgement for proper retention of the pin.

I also suggest putting a bit of oil or grease on the takedown pin channel to reduce the initial friction of punching the pin.

If you have any issues shoot us an email and we can help you out further!
