Taking a Winchester Model 94 apart?

Im thinking of ordering a take-down book off of ebay for my marlin, they have exploded pics and trouble shooting etc. for like 5-10 bucks !

those are fantastic, thanks. thats not so bad, according to the second link theres only 51 parts total in the 336 .

Pleasure.

I learned how to take down a 336 last year working on that rifle in my avatar.

It was a 51-year old rust heap and I got every screw out of it except the one for the magazine cap!

It is easy.

I rebuilt one about 15 years ago from the parts of two rifles. At my peak, and without rushing, I was able to tear it completely apart and put it back together in about 5 minutes.

After disassembling a Model 94, or an SKS completely for cleaning and oiling, I know why I prefer shooting bolt guns.
