Snowy yesterday was a great day at the range...

With my friend Etienne ( RO), i brought my 2 custom 1911. first my Les Baer that need no presentation since it is the definition of PERFECT...

But there were a new kid on the block who had to get recognition beyond it's name...

My Colt Special Combat Governement...
First time out to get shot...
This is so sweet to see, i cant really decide which one shot best they are equal, very equal...

Shooting was from 17 yards, unsupported using AE 230 gr FMJ... I cant find a winner but something i can say is the Colt Custom is on par with my Les Baer...

Got some pictures for you folks...

The last 2 months this Colt was sitting on the EE with no results...
Lucky for me...

It just been granted the right of becoming a keeper... JP.

Did you see much difference in the Colt for trigger pull?..I assume it's a series 80..
 
For months, i wanted to keep my LB and sell my Colt custom...

Got lucky on this one, it did not sell and this pistol that was unfired and BNIB before yesterday got a shot at the title...

Right now i have to call it a draw...
Look at the targets, they are both top...

I have no problem keeping an extra wonderfull shooter in my herd... JP.
 
Friend came for supper yesterday and brought along is Lyman trigger scale, here is the verdict on my custom triggers...


Les Baer 10 pulls, average weight 3 pounds 2 ounces....
Colt SCG 10 pulls, average weight 3 pounds 6 ounces...

You have to see the numbers on the scale, i could not feel the difference with the finger, it is still to close to call... JP.
