Talk me out of a Benelli M4

So heres the deal - Ive took a fancy to a semi auto shotgun and have been looking at my options

I already have a pump (Uzkon AS46-01) and as I like tactical styled stuff I been on the lookout for something suitable in a semi

Considered Uzkon TR100-13, Derya MK10, LA K12 Puma Bullpen etc etc but when I read the reviews some were mixed at best

Somewhere along the way I stumbled across the Benelli M4 and it looks pretty sweet as well as getting good reviews as far as I can see

Is this gun as good as they say? Are there any other I should be considering?

Great gun!

Number 1 choice of semi auto for combat/defense

Heavy price tag new $2500 and up plus tax, used 2k normally does it

No choke option, smooth bore all the way.

14" restricted 18" non restricted no long bird barrel options

Lots of after market support for a Benelli but big bucks as well

If I had 2k to spend I go elsewhere, if I had 4K to spend on a home defense/combat shotgun there would be no question m4 all the way.

That sums it up pretty well on good and bad, it's the best for what is was made for.

Works same way. Built like tank. Looks like brick. Reliable like Kalashnikov. Takes TruLock chokes.

Can't talk you out of an M4 though. If I had the money I'd buy one, no question.

Mossberg will get her dunn. If you want a good un! For a quarter of the price. Not the same feel or look, all depends on what you want and what you can afford. They are customable as a M4 hold there price. My two cents!

Muzzle heavy, handles more like a rifle than a shotgun.

Ghost rings are slower for most people at typical shotgun ranges.

Expensive, you can buy any number of other really nice guns for what they cost, often with plenty of money left over.

Someone here mentioned a while back how they bought a TacOrd Versamax {$2000 currently} and made their friends with Benelli M4s jealous...

It would, but you have to watch the rail, its not quite to spec and that has chewed up a few peoples mounts and rails.

Nice setup

So have you swapped out the original magazine tube (looks different)?

From what I can tell it's a popular mod - is it purely for aesthetics or does it add capacity?
