Talk me out of a Tikka t3 Lite

Not only do I own many other rifles but I can build whatever I want in my garage the T3 still comes with me most of the time.

sounds kinda like my situation. I have been rebarreling my own rifles for about 8 years now, but I almost always hunt with a factory Rem 700 in 7 Mag...even my 280 and 280AI stay home...

Factory rifles and common chamberings just work.

Ok guys. I am sold on the Tikka in 7 mag. Next question, where the heck can I findd one at a decent price? Cabelas seems pricey but in stock..........

cheers

Cabelas price on the web for the stainless is $679.99 - $749.99
Blued is $549.99

These are industry standard prices as far as I can tell. What are you comparing to?

I have a t3lite stainless in a 22-250, t3 lite stainless in a 300wm with a limb saver, t3 Varmint stainless with a pac nor 6.5-284 medium heavy barrel, a t3 lite in a 243, and my son has a t3 hunter in 300 wm. Love them all.. A person can never have too many tikkas. My next one will be in 260 rem.

T3 's suck I have a Sako ...

My son has a T3, everytime we go out hunting by the end of the day my sako weighs 100 pounds and his T3 is light and nimble, it shoots great out of the box and is a nice rifle . When ever I try to trade him rifles for the last half of the day he says NO Way Dad ! PS I don't want to trade a sako for a T3 unless it is in my family lol.

Don't buy one! Why you ask? Two words: aftermarket parts! I recently was asked my advice from a novice shooter as to what he should by. His choices were the T3 and the Remington 700. I told him to first research the aftermarket for upgrades and available parts and then get back to me. He called two days later to tell me he had already placed an order for a R700 from Grouse River. He chose wisely!
