Good day all! I have 3 Ruger no1, love them, they shoot pretty good(around. MOA) but as much as I love the no1, I’m not a real fan of there triggers!! What are the options available currently( I know there use to be a few options that are on more) for replacement triggers for them?
Jard triggers are the only one I see that is currently available, any others?

The Jard units be easy enough to install as Dave said. The Moyer units require some metal removal on the action that means ye can't go back to using the original safety setup. Jard is the way to fly for folks that want a nice trigger without having to reduce the value of their rifles thru needless modifications.

Had a keplinger on one and it was an improvement, probly wasn’t worth the cost though. The Ruger trigger can be made pretty good with patience. These are essentially hammer guns which affects the feel of the trigger pull imo.

Thank you gentlemen for all the info! If I decide to go that route I will by a Jard, I was thinking 2.5 or 3.5… what you guys think?
And I assume no one is selling them in Canada !?!

Between all of them, I prefer a Canjar, although they are unicorns these days!
The Kepplinger is a great trigger as well, but between the Jard and the Moyors, the Jard is the one I prefer. I have used them all and still have a Kepplinnger and a Moyers.

yeah right, my 303 #1 trigger is awesome i rekon, i often wish me others felt like it ... everyones taste is different i assume here :)

I bought a Jard through EABCO in USA, they run the sale through an international broker, the broker adds ~10% for the paper work.
Installed myself, not too hard if you have some mechanical skills.
I bought the 1 lb version but I'm target shooting only. Haven't shot it yet but it does seem like a nice trigger.

I definitely have shot worst triggers(my Brno 304 is one of them! ) I think the rugger ones are ok but I find them heavy(like 5-6lbs if I’m remember right) so I was thinking that something like a 2.5 or 3.5 triggers could improve the rifle a bit and possibly it’s accuracy?!?!

Thanks all for the response, I really appreciate it!

I hear you, but you may be able to adjust it, or have a smith work it over.

BTW, the stock work on my Effect is nearly complete. I will update my thread when I get my hands on it. The very best in the country did/doing the final finishing, and it's getting a matching custom tomahawk and a custom fitted leather scabbard. :)

Ho that is something I can’t wait to see!

nah no way mines that heavy, im sure it has a screw on the front of it or under it somewher too? isnt it adjustable? or am i thinking of the ejector tension adjustment... hmmm

i also find the #1 doesnt seem to belt me either- ive ran it up to an as hot as a "308", with 150 to 215 , an the 'kick on it' aint been a thing of any concern, even scoped... suits me maybe, an lefty... i like it

As far as I know they are not adjustable, I don’t know why though!
