Not sure if I have the wrong screws with my mounts, but I stripped the screws for the rear mount
Weatherby Vanguard S2 .243
I got the Vanguard/howa 1500 scope mounts (57L) and it looks like the screws only go into the reciever about 3 threads
All 4 screws are the same length and the front two torqued no problem ( torqued the fronts to 20 inch pounds with Wheeler fat wrench. I know it should be more
Do I have the wrong screws? Did I F up? I was using the little torx key that came with it to start the screws and they aren't cross threaded or over tightened.
**I called Talley yesterday and they still haven't got back to me about it**
