Excellent movie, I remember we would stop and rewatch the limited scenes where the SVT-40 was being fired.

Yeah, it is a true story, but, in reality, there was only a couple soviet casualties

This movie is actually part of a series. It was produced by the same guy who directed das boot, Stalingrad and winter war. He wanted to show the other side of the war from the German/axis POV.
