Tanfo Stock II

I think I have settled on the SHADOW. I have been all over the internet and read every thing I can find on both. Just can't see were the Tanfo is worth $1100 more than the SHADOW. I would rather buy 2 SHADOW'S.

Now if I could just hold both of them I would be happy.

IPSC, John Woo style!
You needn't worry; you'll be very happy with the Shadow.

In your PM to me you said get TANFO mags with rubber mag pads. Are these allowed in Production. Everythig I am reading says they are not. Global Village postings seem to say I can not add pads to my mags. Can someone also tell me wich mags I buy. FV doesn't list them as Small or Large frame, just buy price. Josko doesn't list them at all.

My other reasons for buying the Shadow is I am also buying a Chrony, reloading components, Targets & patches, timer, gotta make some target stands as well.

Were do I buy reactive targets?? Drop turners or swingers? I can get them made but I do not know were to get ballistic steel?

Wich mods do I do to the Shadow? Springs etc etc.

I shoot 124g AIM projectiles at 128PF

Wow, my hand is sore,, maka

Lighter hammer spring and if you are using that light of a load, get a lighter recoil spring.
OEM for cz mags can be had with rubber pads (we get the other ones due to 10rd cap)
get tanfoglio mags with rubber pads.

You can use pads as long as they are offered by original magazine manufacturer and are not modified in any way. Or you can use any 3rd party magazines for production gun.

Sorry, been too busy to respond.
I wouldn't be thinking too much about modifying the gun right now. Just shoot it for a while, get used to it and how it feels in recoil, see how other guys have theirs set up, and if any of their mods are valid for you and your technique.

As to the targets and so forth:
I made my own swingers, and either shoot paper cut-outs of steel for practice or real steel when available. I don't have the transportation required for humping heavy stuff like that around. Drop-turners and so forth are the same as static targets to me, as I shoot them at the moment when they are static. So I don't have anything proprietary to practice with. No idea if anyone in Canada would sell that stuff. I would assume you'd have to rig up your own kit for most of it.
