I have been thinking about one of the Tanfoglio handguns and I was wondering if my kadet 22 lr conversion for the CZ75 I have would work on the Tanfoglio?
I know that the Tanfoglio is a modified version of the CZ and I would like to know if it has been modified enough that the kadet kit will work on not.

I don't think so.

I noticed on other forums (I do a lot of lurking) that you had a tanfoglio 22lr kit that you were having problems with. I have the kit (still new in the box), just waiting for my gun to come back from it's stock III trigger guts being put it. (I know I should have done it myself but I was lazy and Sean will do it for the cost of the parts). Anyway.... did you ever get it shooting reliably? I am already worried that mine won't work and I haven't even tried it yet.

I noticed the firing pin is quite short. I also read that some other dude got his working with a 1911 firing pin but it was one post and no other information.

the firing pin may hit below the rim,...which could cause the occasional ftf. mine works well now.

I went with a 9mm firing pin cut to fit which was lighter than the factory .22 pin,..and I think I went with a 9mm firing pin block.(?) it was a while ago...so I forget. I think the FPB I used was a 9mm from a stock2, but had to be trimmed, polished and fitted. You have to use a 16lb hammer spring (the heaviest I could find). Now....just to start off, that was my experience...others work better out of the box. I polished up the rails of the kit..etc. although that may not be necessary. The factory firing pin (.22 kit) would likely work, but you need to make sure first of all that the FPB is polished up and that the firing pin is actually hitting the RIM at 12 o'clock. IF it is not, try "slightly" bending it up wards. Use a snap cap or empty casing to test.

Thanks for the tips. Apparently my kit won't even slide on to my frame, I think it was machined out of spec.

The CZ kadet kit I got would not fit on the CZ 75 at first but in the kit was a note telling me that there was 1 or 2 spots that would need to be filed to fit my gun, the reason was that they wanted to make it a bit bigger so that you could fit it to your gun and not have one that might have too much play. It didn't take too long to make it fit and now it shoots great.
