Availability & price check on this gun (9mm or .45)..? Tanfoglio's site puts the price at about 1/2 that of the Stock 2.

They were due in a couple weeks ago; the manufacturer says they are flying this week.

SRP is $1100; Not half, but significantly under the Stock II price.
9mm is the only caliber inbound; 40 and 45 later this year.

Different from Stock II:
Blued. (keeps cost down)
Standard barrel rifling (keeps cost down)
Lighter trigger system,
Long Slide - IE. Long sight radius.
Longer barrel - powder burns longer
Longer dust cover - more weight up front.
Tactical-Cool Rail System for your choice of laser or flashlight

Same as Stock II:
Flared Mag Opening
Big Safeties (IE Thumb rests)
Squared Trigger Guard
Over travel adjustable Trigger
LPA Adjustable Rear Sights.
High grip beaver tail.
Front and back checkered frame
Extended Mag Release (Reversible for Lefties)

Since there is no bull barrel; I'm guessing it will be IDPA Legal to boot.

This is pretty damn close to what I've imagined for a perfect handgun (for my taste). Definitely looking into that.

Will it fit any existing holsters? Other than those competition holsters like the CR Speed I mean.

The unfortunate part is that it's what I tried to convince Tanfoglio to build (Even with the rail!) 5 years ago between the Stock Custom and the Stock II...oh well, better late than never! :D

I think it will fit the Bladetech meant for a LImited Custom. Imagine it will fit the CR Speed holster,...which I hear works great as it is now specific for the Tanfoglio with square trigger guard.

with new World IPSC rules coming out next year regarding SA trigger weight (somewhere around 2 - 3 lbs, the new lighter trigger may be an issue. Any literature on actual weight?

Cheers

Not yet, I'll be weighing them when they arrive, of course.

I highly doubt SA will be less than the proposed IPSC limit of 2.2 lbs nor the DA lighter than the proposed DA limit of 4.4 lbs.

It will, I am told - be a significant improvement over the SA / DA triggers in a Stock II.

So is the Stock 3 here yet? I wondered if that would fit the CZ Shadow magazines. How much would that be and how many mags with it?

They Arrived and sold out before they even got unpacked; My dealers Wood Joynt, Italian Sporting Goods and Reliable Gun and Tackle might still have some for sale. I have more on backorder but it wll be late summer before delivery.

Guess the price was acceptable to the market, after all.

I don't have any Shadow mags (Don't deal in CZ) to try in them, so I don't know if they work or not, sorry.

I did get a chance this summer to try some CZ mags in a StockIII and while the Tanfoglio mags work great in Shadows;
Shadow Mags won't work in Tanfoglios.

Will it fit in a cr speed wsm holster?
Yes, in the WSMII for Tanfoglio Golds or in the WSMII Universal model with some tweaking.

Any chance there are any in 10mm inbound?
Sorry, that would require Tanfoglio's large frame and at this time they are only making the Stock III in the small frame - so it's limited to 9 and 40. I have "L" models in 10mm in stock - they have a lot of similarities; long slide, adj. Sights, railed, DA/SA etc. - Currently $725

Everyone else interested:

The next shipment of Stock IIIs is due in late October. Sign up now if you want to guarantee one.
The last shipment wound up presold before it landed.
So long as the Euro doesn't go nuts between now and then, the SRP will remain at $1100.

This could be the best Production pistol, I hope to own one.
The idea of having it in .40cal makes me excited and wanting to have one.
