Tanfoglio Stock 3

Would putting a FO front make Stock 3 not legal for Production?
Of course not.
The Front Sight on the Stock III is dovetailed in, and accepts both Tanfoglio's factory FO Front Sight and Hennong's FO Front Sight and the gun is still production legal.

Under IPSC Production rules, you can basically put any sight on an approved gun; so long as you don't alter the slide of the gun.

With the Stock III, it's already set up for you to pick and choose different sights.

Oh, and good news!

I met with Massimo Tanfoglio in Greece at the World Shoot and he informed me that my next shipment of Stock IIIs should leave Italy for Canada very soon.

Good to know, thank you Sean.

I imagine the CR Speed WSM2 would fit, just like it does with Stock 2? - Nevermind, you already answered that, I should remember what I've read on the previous page...

Nice looking gun but what is the trigger like? I had a stock 2 and the trigger was brutal, nothing to be done about it. What are the da/sa trigger pull weights?

It's different. The Sear has been divided in two - so it is not doing two jobs - releasing the hammer and releasing the firing pin safety. The trigger bow now pushes the sear so it releases and the trigger bow pushes a lever to release the firing pin safety. That made the trigger pull smoother.

I had one at the nationals and those that picked it up seemed sufficiently impressed.

Crap! got it but its a .40... its a nice gun trigger's pretty good too but cant really use it for production. I thought only 9mm were available.

Sorry, must have got you confused with the three other 40 transfers at the same time.

Send it back - I'll exchange it for you and make it right; check your email for details.

Well, you've got a couple instant advantages
1. Longer sight radius is going to let you shoot more accurately.
2. Adjustable sights are going to keep you from having to guestamate the proper sight picture for your ammo.

I'm biased, but I don't think it's any streach to say that generally Tanfoglio barrels are of a superior quality to CZ.

My friend shot the NSRA PPC championship here with his limited pro - which has the same barrel as the stock III and shot very nice groups at 50

Of course, when we are talking accuracy, you always have to do your part and use decent ammo.
