I heard someone at the range talking about replacement magazine pads for the Tan X II that don't require the use of the world's smallest Allen key to remove/replace the stock pads. They replace the stock pads and use the commonly found 'spring pin' retention system. Easy to clean the mags at the range without the risk of losing the tiny little Allen head screw...?

Anyone know who might be supplying them?

Cheers,
Jim

I've been using Henning. Last ones I got from crafm, but others have them as well.

Thanks, seems Hennings makes a full line of Tanfoglio accessories...but a question comes up when looking at the base pad replacements...and it will sound silly I'm sure, but this gun is new for me, in fact brand new and I haven't even received it yet, ( hoping for this week! ), is the Stock Xtreme II 9mm considered 'small frame' or 'large frame'? I'm assuming it is 'small' frame but hate to order the wrong parts. Also does the stock magazine have the 'pin' release for the pad already there? Up under that fancy pad that it comes with?

Thanks, that's what I thought, does the spring have a 'pin release' bottom to it? Just wondering since the very expensive 'Eric' base pads don't release via a pin, using a set screw instead...just wondering.

The recessed pads Henning make use a captured detent to stay put. Those with out a recess use the standard mag retainer.
