Tanfoglio ?

How are they in terms of handling comfort, accuracy, and durability ?

They are built like the CZ75/85 style pistols right?
In the U.S., Tanfolgio is marketed as a discount brand – sort of like the Walmart of the firearms world. They typically sell for less money than real CZs. I could never understand why Canadian market Tanfoglios were so expensive.

Tanfoglio is a definate CZ clone, not an improvement. But still a well made clone. That said, the Tanfoglio Limited Custom was a pleasure to shoot and a good value for your dollar if you need a race gun.

If you want a CZ75/85 clone like Tanfoglio Combat Sport, I would suggest go for the real thing and get CZ85 combat instead. You won't be disappointed!

I got my fullsize because I could get it in 10mm and I couldn't get a CZ in 10....Lovely gun....just bloody Lovely....

Did I mention I love it?

IF you get a CZ, it appears you should have a lot of spare parts around; like trigger return springs, slide stops...
Both tanfoglios I have seen being used over the last few months since the summer worked awesome. They guys using them didn't baby them and put a lot of rounds thru them. Don't think I saw any jamming or break. The guys that have them use reloads and factory ammo thru them with out a hiccup.

Anyone tried out the tanfoglio 1911s? they look good and the price is right...just wondering about the overall quality and fit/finish.

I bought the Limited Custom about 2 months ago, and LOVE IT!...

nice fit, good position for the mag and slide release.

The only problems are the mags which they are clearing up with a design change in Dec.

My Model "L" in 9MM has been flawless with alomost 5,000 rds through it. Going to order a .40Ca conversion kit for it. Why they are more expensive than the CZ is beyond me but they are. Sean there is a mesage there.

CDNN doesn't have any listed now for any price. Read Seans comments above.

Next time The Shooting Edge has new Tans for $450 Cdn - I'll take one. I will add $50 and sell them to Sean so he can retail them for $800. Sean might be cheaper to buy Tansfpoglios from TSE rather than trying to import them.;)

Read Shotgun News for prices. Now, the Witness line is not the same as the high end Italian Tan line. But for entry level, go for a TSE Witness. I actually think Marstar's BUL CZ-75 clones at $600 are the cat's meow. The polymer line looks good too.
