Most of you probably already know this but I thought I'd post it for the newbs like me.
If you buy a tango down grip that is not quick detach they can be a bit hard to install. They fit very tight on mill spec rails and apparently may not fit a rail if it is even a little out of spec. I figured out a quick and easy way to do it with only a tie strap.
Fist get a thick tie strap and cut off 4 small pieces. You could also use the small square locking thing on the end of the small black straps that come with the grip (I just found the bigger strap easier).
Then fold over the strap, push down one of the four spring loaded bar locking clips, and slip the strap into the space to hold it down.
Do this to all four and it will look like this.
I put a little CLP Breakfree on the rail to help it slide, then got it started on the rail like this.
Then just slide (or hammer with your fist) the grip down the rail to the position you want it and pop out the straps letting the 2 rail bars seat in the position you desire. Looking like this.
I know it's easy but I thought it might help somebody. I'll share pics of my finished dream rig shortly!
Cheers
