The Tango Down grips are a pretty snug fit and they don't come off easily. That can be a good thing when you are using it, but not such a great thing when you are trying to install, move or remove one...

You need to find something to hold the locking tabs open (I actually use the Tango Down Grip Chips) and then gently tap the grip with a rubber mallet or something similar until the grip is off the rail.

You know those white Nylon zip ties? You can use 4 of those to stick into the openings of the locks to keep them open.

Otherwise, with the riflestock pointing down (muzzle up) I brace my palms on the bottom of the grip, use my pointer and middle fingers to pull the locks down, and use my 2 thumbs to pull the whole unit forwards along then off of the rail. Will be a little bit uncomfortable, but this is the best way I've found to do it!

thanks to all of you.........

finally, i managed to take off that vertical grip. i pressed down those 4 openings at them same time my 14 yr old girl was lightly hitting it with a rubber mallet. detached!
