Just wondering if anyone knows if I get a tapco 10/22 stock if i will have to use optics or can I still use my irons? Its the "Intrafuse 10/22 Rifle System"

Thanks, Ranger

You can still use your sights, from what I have read. They make a model that has the stock slightly bent to make it easier on the user.

"The angled extension is designed to easily fit all body styles and enables unrestricted use of the rifle’s iron sights."

But I imagine you can use the straight stock too, but it might not be as comfortable.

With the straight stock, it is quite awkward to use the irons.

I used a moderate raised rail to make it comfortable to shoot with a scope:

kk awsome. I just like my irons better as I've still yet to figure out how to properly sight in a scope.....I will eventually like to use one tho. mabey once I've joined a club and have a bench, and know distances I can work on it then:p

Ranger Dave: Sighting in a scope is easy.

1. Set up a paper target and shoot a group at a it.
2. If you're not hitting the paper move the target closer and repeat step 1.
3. If you're on target, adjust the windage and elevation knobs and shoot another group.
4. Repeat step 3 until you're happy with how the scope is sighted.

Most scopes I've owned have had helpful little hints on them so you know which way to turn the knobs. Once your roughly sighted in, making small adjustments for range or different brands of ammo is pretty easy.

Trying to sight in a rifle without a paper target is a waste of time (unless you're having fun.)
