Tapco 10/22 telescoping stock

I am interested in getting one of these stocks for my 10/22, and I was wondering what the general opinion is on these particular stocks.

Not as "slick" as the other 10/22 stock options, and with less rail options, but it's definitely workable...

Tapco's are cheap ($$) fairly well built and rugged BUT as Cyclone said there just not as "slick" as the more expensive names out there.

If it's your first tactical or for a young gunner, I say go for it.

Check out the ATI strikeforce, it was a toss up between the two for me. I went with the strikforce and never looked back. ultimatearms on Ebay has both and will ship to Canada if you call with a credit card. Both stock are under $100...

I have a butler creek folder, but I was not happy with its fit. That's what has led me to consider the tapco stock. I think the Olive one would go well with my carbine.

I have the Archangel from Promag. Good solid setup with collapsible stock. Lots of mounting options. Just don't put the bayonet on it like I did. Looks pretty silly.

What is the length of pull with the buttstock fully collapsed? I'm looking at "fitting" one for my 8 year old grandson, who finds the standard carbine stock on my 10/22 to be a bit too long.

That's a nice rifle. I'm partial to Fab's 556, but this is a decent (and cheaper) alternative.
