tapco 5/30 round magazine failure

The other day i was trying to load one of my tapco sks mags with a stripper clip. and maybe i pressed to hard but thing(sorry i'm not sure of the technical term) wouldn't come back up. I think maybe it got caught on the pop-rivet which restricts it to 5?


are they easy to take apart? I don't want to put much force on it as i don't want to crack the composite plastic.

any advice would be much appreciated.

Does tapco make a 5/30 one?

I think the 'thing' is called a follower.

To make sure this never happens again drill out the rivet & put a lager 1 in it's place
