Hey gents,

Anyone know how to take Tapco Interfuse Gen 2 or 3 mags apart?

I don't know if I'm an idiot or what but I can't figure it out. Please help. Dropped my mags in mud today.

I got one, nice mag.

There is a trick to it.

Hold the mag upside down, rest your index finger on the edge of the baseplate where you WOULD push it so slip it off.
Then you have to slap the top of the mag against the palm of your hand. If you do it right the baseplate will slip then you can take it off.

Don't put any force on the baseplate with your index finger, seems not to work.

Until you get the trick timing right, you'll end up with a sore palm. However, the other option is to bang it against something else, a lot easier, a carpeted floor should to, try not to bang it on the feed lips.

I bought one of their polymer mags and it sticks in the NEA-15's mag well. It's a two person tug of war to separate the mag from the. Anyone else have this issue?

At the bottom of the baseplate you need to drill a hole right in the centre with a quarter inch drill bit. You will notice that's where the button you need to push in to disassemble.

Note that opening it was solved in 2012 and this thread was recently bumped asking how this mag fits in an NEA.

Does a magpul fit ?

My Tapco fits perfect in my lowers. None of them are NEA however.

I use a really tiny drill bit, and a blunt pushpin or finishing nail works great for pushing the spring plate up 1/4 inch. Then the baseplate slides right off.
