Tapco mag disassembly

If it's like the sks mag you have to drill a hole right in the middle of the bottom, then poke through to pop the botton out while sliding. but might make it a prohib item, not sure.

With a little practice you can take them apart without drilling the hole but it takes a bit of a knack. If you are right handed, hold the mag upside-down in your right hand. Make sure the floor plate is pushed firmly all the way on so the "button" on the inside is not binding. Smack the feed lips down firmly on your left hand and at just the right time you can start the baseplate off with your index finger when inertia drops the internal button out of the way. It's a matter of timing. When I first tried it it took many tries to make it work. Now I can do it almost without thinking about it. Good luck.

This works with the Tapco AR mags as well.

I'm visiting London and bought a Tapco AR mag on impulse at Gobles today.

By playing around with that trick for the past half hour and boy are my hand sore.
Haven't got it yet.

You know, right after I posted that, I got it. Works better against a solid floor with carpet.

I'm really digging the internals.

I REALLY dig the internals. It makes me wonder if I should run back to the store and get more while I'm in town, as I can't really find them online. Not really budgeted for it tho, and I figure I should try it and compare to others first.

There doesn't seem to be much about them on this forum.
