Tapco Mag for mini 14?

Not sure if this is right forum. But has anyone tried he Tapco mag for the Mini 14 how are they?

I have gen 2 tapco mags and never had a failure. They are my favorite mini-14 mags

IIRC, the followers has a long tang molded onto the bottom of it so that it bottom out after 5 rounds. I couldn't figure out how to get the baseplates off mine, other wise I'd have shaved a bit off the tang as it wouldn't seat on a closed bolt

Yeah, mine won't seat on a closed bolt either. I've got 2 of the mags, generation 1, and other than the seating problem, they seem to be holding up all right so far.

The gen 1 mags have weaknesses. I have never seen a gen 2 one except on Youtube.

I'd like to see a shorter Tapco magazine for the mini-14, 20 round capacity, pinned to five (because we prefer them that way )
They look too long to me, otherwise I'd buy em up

How is the Tapco mag disassembled, I can`t figure out how to remove floor plate

Bump... I too am wondering how the hell you get the baseplate off. Google and CGN search function have failed me.

According to tapco the mags are not designed to be taken apart once assembled.
