Tapco Mags, Anywhere to find them in Canada?

I have two tapco mags, but they are nowhere near as good as the 30 round steel mags I bought from Ki11ercane.

Yeah, 30 rounders look cooler. Do your steel mags allow/maintain the Last Shot Bolt Hold Open feature of the Tapcos and stock fixed mags?

My two Tapco 5/20 have proven to be reliable. Load rounds into the mags like any other box mag. Remove empty mag and replace with full mag. No problemo. No FTF/FTE issues.

However, one time I tried to re-load using a stripper clip, without removing the Tapco. Was able to reload with 5 rounds but rifle jammed after the first shot.
At the time, I didn't bother to figure out why, maybe I'll try charging with clip next time and see if it happens again.

Of course, YMMV.

They work perfectly, no jamming at all.

I've heard it can be hit and miss, depending on the make of mag and which SKS it's used in. Either way... don't buy one... buy two.

Use the metal one they have real feel to those.

Over time I think I have tried several detachable metal mags from John Mason to no name brands, from 5 to 40 round. Some work great out of the box and others need work. What I have found with most of the metal mag I have had, they all loosen up over time. From bent lips to broken spot welds ect ect. If you can live with the 20 round look you can not go wrong with tapco, they just work never stop. If you do have a problem they are warrantied for life.......bet ya cant say that about the metal mags.
