The initial ones had some problems from what I understand, especially around the hole in the front where they snap in. Tapco is introducing an improved modified mag where there is metal around the front hole instead of plastic. Apparently the new ones have smoother mag bodies inside and an improved spring.

Slight thread jack, while we're shopping for Ruger Mini mags, anyone have a line on pinned 20 or 30 round mags for the Mini-30? A buddy of mine has been looking for a while and can't seem to find any in Canada. He's looking for about 5.

I believe they are all Gen I mags which don't have the improvements to fix the hole in the front of the mag and the issues associated with it. Nothing like paying $14 a piece in the states and $30+ here.
