The Tapco stock arrived today from copesdist.com.

I have never had a "black" rifle, or an SKS, but this looked like a fun project.

Since I took the day off anyway, I popped by Lever Arms to pick up an SKS.

It took about 2 hours to clean the SKS and install the stock.

The stock isn't bad, definetly workable. It's about the same quality as the SKS. The one thing that sucks is that you must remove the pistol grip to service the trigger. This is an issue as the grip is held on by a simple lag bolt that self taps into the plastic stock. I can see this being a problem if you strip the rifle often and are careless with the screw.

However, $250 seems to be a good price for this combo.

Now the only issue is that I have 1200 rounds of 7.62x39 and its raining this weekend

haha, It does look good, let's see how it shoots...

I also handled the CZ-858 @ Lever and that is one nice rifle. I was suprised after seeing it in person vs. online. They appear to be VERY nice.

Now that I have 1200 round of ammo, I think I need one.

My first impreshion of the CZ when I got it was: "Gee...this is alot smaller/thinner/lighter than it looked like on the internet"

When I finish my 1911 project, I may just have to get one of these stocks for my self.

Kind of a neat stock. It's a compilation of parts from black guns. That pistol grip is from an FN Minimi(C9 in Canada or SAW as the American Army calls it) with the AR style butt......looks good though.....

That doesn't sound very sturdy. Should you ever need to crawl around in the mud with your rifle, you might lose your pistol grip.

Also, when I first saw the stock, I thought it looked cool but the more I look at it, the less I like it. It's the way the receiver cover sticks out and up. Very unsightly to me. Kinda like a slick sports car with a luggage rack on top.

This stock is cool. I'm thinking of getting a SKS with this stock for plinking. I don't see any better option. Price of SKS and amunition.

Nice stock. Definitely better than the wood stock it comes with. I hate to rain on your parade though but I'd go over the receiver one more time. The pics show a little cosmoline in the corners and in the space under the charging handle. It's hard crap to get out of there but trust me you don't want to smell a mix of gun powder and burnt cosmo.

I just ordered mine 2 weeks ago. :)
When you got the stock did you have to order any other parts to complete the project? I want to make sure I have it all and get it before the good weather comes.

The kit came with the handguard and all other bits. Everything is included in the package.

One note is that I recently stripped the original stock (dishwasher treatment), did a sanding and coated it with CDN Tire truck bed liner and rubber butt pad.

The T6 stock is great, but the pistol grip changes the balance of the rifle.

It's alot more "handy" with the standard stock.

So it's the new shipment of SKS from Lever Arms. Does it have any factory stample on it? Like factory 26 triangle stample?

Thanks!

I got last shipment of Lever Arms SKS with no factory mark. The barrel is only 19" or something. Shorter than other SKS,don't know why....

I'm not here to hijack but I also got my t6 stock. Some people were asking what it would like like on a sks-d with a 30 round mag so heres a pic of mine.
