Tapco T6 SKS Stock Arrived - Pics

I will shortly acquire a Yugo 59/66 SKS. Did you have to remove the bayonet to fit this stock?

Also, did they ship this stock to you from the USA (they indicate that they do not ship outside the USA)

thanks

I've been looking at one of these myself lately (after seeing how cool yours looks w/the stock on :D ), but this issue that you mentioned is what keeps me from ordering one. Is there any way to install a threaded metal insert, like the ones used for holding particle-board furniture together? Is there enough meat in the material to drill and install a helicoil? Any other solutions that anyone can think of? This seems like a terrible design to me, I take down my SKS every time I shoot it to clean all the corrosive crap out, so I'd definetely end up stripping the lag bolt out at some point.

I am thinking the same way you are, I have a T6 coming and I plan on adding a metal insert and using a coarse threaded bolt instead of a lag bolt. Other than that, the stock looks great.
I like the adjustment on the pull length on the T6 though, it will work for the wife who is 5'4 and me who is 6'5. My Choate Dragonov (which I love) has three spacers on the butt, great for me but uncomfortable for her.

Did you have the option to buy a stock that still allows the bayonet to be attached?

I am looking at a Yugo 59/66 and I want to keep the bayonet attached.

Yes, it has the relief for a spike bayonet.

where did you find such spacers?

Two spacers came with the stock and ordered a third from Choate.
