I have an older Tikka in 223, wood stock, blued barrel and use white electrical tape for coyote camo. No issues with it except the tape has a bit of shine to it. I have some white hockey tape but I'm wondering if the tape is overly sticky and will it affect either the finish on the wood stock or the blued barrel. Does anyone use hockey tape as camo for their stock/barrels. Thanks for the help. BB

Thanks Jim, I use to have a roll of fabric/ camo tape, best stuff ever but cannot locate it anymore. It was a stretch/mesh type roll without glue on it. It simply stretched over the stock/barrel without glue but had a slight tackyness to it so it stayed put. You could pull it off and reapply as much as you wanted. The only stuff I see out there now has a shine to it that I'd like to avoid. The hockey tape is fabric without shine, just wondering if it would cause an issue with the stock/barrel finish.

Are you finding the FABRIC style camo stuff at Princess Walmart?? I'll have to have another look. I was at Can Tire last night but they didn't have anything. BB

Thanks for all the help. Not sure I'd want to use gauze, we don't have access to farmers fields and have to hunt in the bush. Gauze would tear off in about 7 seconds. I admire those that hunt fields and watch as a coyote or 4 runs to a call.

Vet wrap. 2$ a roll usually and 1 roll will easily do a gun. Sometimes you even get lucky and they will have white ore green camo.

Our local place has even had Sage Green and a Tan color that matched Magpul FDE. Like you say - $2/roll. As an added bonus, with a piece of high density foam, trimmed to fit, you can also do a matching cheek riser for your rifle
